Search Is On For Arsonist Who Torched Theatre Company In Philadelphia: Police

Investigators in Philadelphia are looking for the man who they say set fire to a theater in Center City last month.

It happened on the 300 block of North Broad Street on May 13, city police said in a release. The suspect ignited a fire that spread and caused "significant damage" to a commercial theater company nearby, authorities wrote.

Now, investigators are circulating surveillance images of the suspect and asking for the public's help in identifying him.

The man is described as white, in his early- to mid-30s with red or brown hair, a beard, and multiple tattoos. He was wearing a black T-shirt, beige shorts, and blue sneakers, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call PPD at 215-686-8477 to submit an anonymous tip on the department's website.
